Volunteers put together dinner for displaced families at First Presbyterian Church

As the Mount Vernon community rallied together to support families affected by an apartment fire, dinner was served at First Presbyterian Church for an early Thanksgiving gathering!

All food was donated, and over 355 volunteers came to support the event. Volunteers included principals, parent liaisons, teachers, administrators and other staff, as well as community leaders. Over 45 people were fed at the dinner, and volunteers continued to serve at Mount Vernon Honor Academy and the Doles Center to support the families.

A group of people, some wearing casual clothing and others in more formal attire, are gathered in what appears to be a hallway or entryway with wooden paneled walls.
